I always got the impression that this is what humans in turdwhirled countries think democracy is. Elections are followed by riots as a matter of course, and all that.
All it's going to do is lead to a new kind of feudalism that sees Hollywood and the media taking the place of the Church, and corporations taking the place of the Nobility, and the Commoners are going to be more fucked than ever. The question will be whether or not it'll be Western-style that allows mobility (upwards, downwards and sideways), or Eastern style where every bee knows his damn place and stays there. If he doesn't like it, they'll breed people who do. Lord knows humans have tons of experience breeding more docile creatures when they put their minds and efforts towards doing so.
