I would suggest that she sue but we all know what happened last time an old lady sued McDonald's for a legitimately good reason (coffee lady).

She got awarded punitive damages?

The coffee lady? Yes I believe so. But she was also the victim of a massive disinformation campaign to make her look like an unreasonable idiot and the public opinion on her is probably still split roughly 50/50.

I would understand if it's not a battle someone is willing to fight.

"Well you can't come in here with those. They're film reels, they're flammable."

Not gonna lie, I don't think people on bottled oxygen should be out in public period. A size E cylinder at 2200 psi has the potential to turn an average sized room into Apollo 1.

It's called Assumed Risk. Driving a car is dangerous but the benefits far out-weight the risks so we take an Assumed Risk when we drive our cars. There is an Assumed Risk associated with walking around carrying a pressurized oxidizer. There is an Assumed Risk for nearly every activity, except entering a business without a mask, because why let everyone take a reasonable Assumed Risk regarding COVID-19 when the government can order minimum wage retail and fast food workers to enforce their bidding without question instead?

I can't reliably count on fast food workers to put my burger together correctly and now the state is giving them authority and obligation to enforce unconstitutional rules. They know how the game is played; always move your pawns first.

She fully intended to respect the drive-thru or curb-side pick-up only rules, but didn’t feel right holding up the drive-thru with questions about menu options.

She should have gone through the drive-through. If you want to be charitable you can say she's too nice for her own good, but she's an idiot for ignoring what the rule is there to do. An elderly person who can't wear a mask specifically because her lungs are fucked should be more careful.
