I suppose this is a slight improvement over CA's "turn everything off because our power grid is so shit we are incapable of keeping the power on if you don't"
hilarious how the richest state in the union can't manage a functioning power grid, meanwhile i cannot remember the last time my power went out here in bfe.
On a related note, California's water problems are entirely artificial. There is this endangered fish called the Delta Smelt. Biologists who get off on saving fish have admitted that literally nothing can be done to save it. The new flora and fauna in the area have permenantly altered the enviornment. So to save this fish, California turns off the water pumps after they suck up only 305 of the numerous little fuckers. Half of the usuable water washes into the ocean because of a watermelon judge.
When I first moved into my house I lost power pretty frequently when it was windy. Then the power company put in some taller poles that didn't get hit by tree branches so much. Now I hardly ever lose power.
Not as bad as it was last week. The changing seasons is starting to bring in rain and cooler temperatures. The smoke and evacuations pretty much caused the local economies to grind to a halt again.
Good idea, Ted. Should you ever find yourself in a cell where you belong, along with your DA, Schmidt, I'll make sure the wardens know to cut off all electricity so you can wallow in pitch darkness forever.
On top of everything else, one night of turning lights off isn't going to "correct nature" back to some imaginary "primordial state" innocent of Man and his technology. If anything, changed patterns in human activity CONFUSE THE FUCK out of the free species, as one can discover by googling the effects of the covid "human pause" on all sorts of critters. And stop assuming they know the difference between "human stuff" and "natural stuff" while also assuming they're too stupid to be worthy of concern. All they know is what the world they were born into is like, and to them, humans are just another animal in a landscape MADE FOR THEIR SPECIES. "Oh, look at those X, walking through town like they own the place" .. well, maybe they fucking think they do. Same way humans think they automagically own the whole fucking planet just because they're themselves.
A dozen generations of urban wildlife can be born in the time it takes one human girl to hit puberty. Think on that.

Isn't the state literally on fire?

He is in one of his four domiciles, probably the one on a private island.
And no I'm not being sarcastic unfortunately.
