The whole thing about Harry being worried about Ron being mad about him dating Ginny was stupid. Especially since Harry knew Ron knew Ginny had a crush on Harry before they even met.
The movies seemed to deliberately cut out the entire SPEW arc, and I can see why ... too red-pilled. The lesson there is that Hermoine mistook Dobby for an AVERAGE house-elf (which is what the movie-makers want the audience to think, too.) However, the books make it VERY clear that Dobby is a fucking oddball of his society, and he is openly despised by the Hogwarts house-elves for it (AND by one who had been fired by Crouch.) There's also clear allusions that the mistreatment Dobby experienced (at the hands of a couple of genuine true-believer Death Eaters) was also not "just a matter of course" (same for the weird shit in the Black house.)
Basically, the house elves are happy slaves; it's their culture.
I mean I haven't read the books, but in the movies Harry sure acts like a girl
