The reason why Bitchute is like that is because the search feature sucks and most people use Bitchute to host videos that have been banned by YouTube. Most videos banned by YouTube that are acceptable by Bitchute are political videos. It would be difficult to change the whole ecosystem, especially with all the regulations that were meant to affect YouTube. Regulation tends to hit smaller competitors a lot harder. Copyright trolls could also make things more difficult. This is the perfect time for copyright trolls to do their thing.
That's a really good point. I've ditched a lot of social media lately and the big reason I've not replaced a lot of it, e.g. swapping Twitter for Parler, is the main content I'm interested in is not politics.
Have you been following this guy for a while? If so, does he ever say why his face looks like that? Is it some kind of condition, or is he just an unconventional looking person?
I've noticed that the lefty guys now look like cops with short hair. Boomers brought us hippies and long-haired men, and it seems to me it's mostly only older, rightish guys who sport long hair/ a mane any more.
Unconventional, I'd say. He's probably Scotch-Irish-Welsh in origin, maybe some English too. It's a relatively common phenotype among people of a certain ancestry/background. I look a bit similar, but with less oriental eyes and a different head shape.

hardlly an adonis but I wouln't say he looks odd, seen plenty of people who look like him

I don’t think he looks odd but he does have pretty strong prescription glasses that make his eyes look smaller.
