The only way it will stop is when the mainstream media no longer openly support, advocate, and make excuses for it. Once it's no longer normalized as an acceptable response it will stop.
We can also say with a high amount of certainty that it will end after the election if Biden wins. The Democrats and Biden are using these people as useful idiots in order to attempt to make Trump look bad and gain votes from minority groups. If they accomplish their goal and he gets elected President then the Democrats will put an end to this shit almost immediately in order to make the claim that it was all because a Republican was in office. In addition, since they would have achieved their main goal they would no longer have a use for these protests riots and won't allow them to be used as ammo against them.
It won't stop if Biden wins: it will be put on pause while any police chiefs or officers on the ground who aren't on-board with being defunded or standing around while antifa destroys cities either are pushed out or retire and replaced with people who don't have a problem with these things.
Then if by some miracle we elect Trump 2.0 at some later date (which if Trump doesn't win I don't know how that would be possible, but let's say for the sake of argument), the burning starts up again with even stronger institutional support the next go-around.
