Based Shatner is based. I love how the dude gives zero fucks on Twitter. I seem to recall him tweeting a while back that he actually shitposts on 4chan. I hope when I'm damn near 90 I have half the mental agility he still has.
Someone did the "ok boomer" thing to him once on twitter, and he replied something like "I'm a lot older than that, but thanks for making me feel young again."
What'd he do? Rode helm on the pile of revisionist horse shit that Berman and Braga tried to foist off on to fans as an "early years" version of Star Trek, for the most part. Sadly, the best things about that show were seeing Scott Bakula chewing the scenery and the bonus of Jolene Blaylock in her Vulcan catsuits.
I just finished watching Enterprise, having seen every other Trek episode at least once, and I thought it was entertaining, had reasonably good characters and reasonably good acting. I don't take it very seriously, so I must have missed the revisionism. A lot of people hate Voyager, too, and I also enjoyed that.
Heinlein made it sound so cool, in a "completely wipe an oppressive government off the face of the Earth and you know we will absolutely fucking do it" kind of way. If I remember right the idea was to use a rail gun.
I think it was some sort of cargo transport mechanism. It just lobbed stuff hard enough to clear the Moon's orbit and then let the Earth's gravity do all the real work.
Bill Shatner really is something to aspire to, I hope I have enough of my mental faculties left to shitpost on Twitter and 4chan when/if I reach his age.

I thought this shit was hilarious and that is why I posted it.
...said the allegedly adult man who pretends he is a woman.
Best captain ever.
Kirk > Picard > Sisko > Janeway
Bearded Riker > Spock > Beardless Riker > Chakotay > Nerys
Your list of captains is correct.
But it's Spock>Bearded Riker>Beardless Riker > Chakotay > Nerys
Also:
Scotty>O'Brien>LaForge>Torres
Bones>EMH>Bashir>Crusher
Chekov>Nog>Paris>Dax>random TNG people>Wesley
Worf>Odo>Tuvok>Sulu
Q>Khan>Dukat>VOY Borg
everyone (except Wesley) > Neelix
Who is the worst now? I want to say Picard, but I don't know Trek.
Picard was a great captain except that first year. Janeway was mediocre. Worst captain aside from ST:D was Archer (I never watched ST:D).
What if you factor in the most recent fanfic with Patrick Stewart?
Didn't watch and anyway he wasn't captain.
Well at least the officer corps is saved from bearing that particular shame.
Man most people don't even include Archer in the list. What'd he do tho?

Star Trek Picard was enough bullshit to make him a challenger, I think you still gotta give the nod to Janeway.
It's not called "STD" for nothing
The Moon is a Harsh Mistress, eh?
Heinlein made it sound so cool, in a "completely wipe an oppressive government off the face of the Earth and you know we will absolutely fucking do it" kind of way. If I remember right the idea was to use a rail gun.

This Paul Camuso (Shatner's tech/twitter guy) is a crypto spammer. Just wants attention.
What do you think is the number of 90 year olds who could read that tweet interaction and really understand it?
I can think of one 77 yr old who can't.
Bill Shatner really is something to aspire to, I hope I have enough of my mental faculties left to shitpost on Twitter and 4chan when/if I reach his age.
