I can't imagine it swinging back, and if it does I don't think it'll hit the people doing this shit.

They're all insulated from the parts of society that would push back. Worst case scenario for them is social justice going out of fashion.

Even with accelerated social zeitgeist due to the internet, the pendulum swings very slowly. VERY slowly. It will have a lot of momentum, it shall be a heavy pendulum, but it will not swing with any haste.
