The first time my bank account had a comma I called my grandmother to celebrate.

When I managed to assemble 5k for the downpayment on my first ever new car, I felt like I had fucking made it in life.

If I had 20k to just throw away on something this trivial I would be a fucking king in my own circles.

1k isn't huge to me. 5k is a bunch.

20k? That's a solid year of rent and utilities, plus money left over here

When I was younger 20k was my entire yearly income after the government took thier taxes. And I was the richest man in my friend circle by a large margin.

This guy is so elite he looks at what I used to live on as disposable chump change.
