Recently, things have burned down a bit and we're getting more walls of text instead instead of insults, and it's been good watching it wake-up formerly apolitical weebs who now realize there is a ingrained political philosophy that needs them to surrender to claim another scalp.
Honestly, I'm proud of them. Let this be a lesson to SJWs, don't try and take away a weeb's waifu, even if their waifu is a guy.
It's really underscored the orthodoxy element of SJW philosophy, as you'd think crossdressing would be something they'd be into, but of course you have to be gay in the exact way that they tell you otherwise you are being unwelcoming and making them feel unsafe, as they screech at you to accept them. (Not to mention the ever present inferiority they feel to an impossibly pretty cartoon character.)
I'm happy that people arn't just rolling over and submitting anymore. At least not all the time.
I imagined /r/animemes have lot more number of normies who happen to watch anime often, I agree. This recent happening will somewhat clarify why some measure of gatekeeping is important and never let egotistic people become a mod.
Yeah, there are definitely redpilled people there, but the most interesting conversations are the ones where someone goes from "Why couldn't you have just asked nicely?" to "This is completely unreasonable, I don't think you even watch anime."
Also the ones where moderate lefties (if such a thing still exists) realize that this will likely stoke transphobia. The exact opposite of the stated goal. (Do we have a better word for transphobia yet? Just typing the word feels like propaganda to me now. Why does everything have to be a phobia?)
I don't know, why is -philia used where -sexual or -mania would be more appropriate/accurate? What is the suffix for "friend of"?

My theory is that they dislike traps because they're mad that a guy who enjoys dressing up as women but doesn't necessarily want to become one can look more femenine than they do.
They hate traps because traps can stop. Once a trap is done having their fun being a trap, they can drop the act, lose the makeup and girl clothes, and be a normal member of society; they aren't permanently shackled to the ideology of trying to force acceptance of their delusions like a transexual is.
That, and traps by definition can pass for female while trannies usually look like Buffalo Bill.
It's even better than that. Traps can pass with little to no effort. Girly clothes not necessarily required, being gay not necessarily required. Some troon can spend hours dolling themselves up and they'll still look like a pig in a wig. This is impotent tranny rage at its finest. Deep down they know they'll never pass for anything more than a freak and when a real life Felix shows up, that disparity rears its flayed head.

I'd imagine it's because the traps often don't "identify" as trannies along with all the political baggage that comes with that. Thus the left sees them as traitors, like right-wing gay men or black Republicans.
They also ruin the idea that any kind of gender non-conformism = gender dysphoria, so... there's that too.
I know everybody knows this, but just to reiterate.
The more you learn about the left and its many arms (academia, NGOs...) the more it becomes clear that their objective is never to solve a problem (poverty, gender identity, racial identity, crime, civil unrest...).
Instead they seek to perpetuate the problem, frame it in a misleading way, make people who are supposedly harmed by this problem feel like victims, keep the problem in the news cycle.
Everything they supposedly stand for is a means to an end: to seize political power, to receive more budgets and to use as a weapon against their opponents.
They dislike them because a trap by nature of concept can actually pass, hence why it's a trap.
The most famous trap, and probably one of the originators of the term itself, Bailey "Linetrap" Jay still called himself a guy last I heard.
Which throws their entire narrative apart. Especially because traps are extremely popular while trannies are the opposite.
There is a tongue-in-cheek meme floating around the discords that femboys are racist. About as silly as the "gamers rise up" memes but today's satire is tomorrow's reality so who even knows anymore.
Some of the memes have been in "Weebs are the most oppressed minority" territory, so there's that.
I'm not even remotely that into weeb stuff anymore but inoffensive anime avatars are still good for pissing off the right people in the most visible way.
But, the question still remains unanswered - are traps gay?
