It's obviously not a complete usable OS but still shocking to see how well it works.
My understanding is all of these AI are so much better at copying than creating anyway. Makes sense. I've been playing with localizing AI more so than pushing the cloud stuff lately outside of my little game I'm tweaking, but when I asked Claude to make it like a copy of Civ V it didn't get close to that accurate.
Wow that is really impressive.... REALLY impressive.
Not only was everything interactive but you could even save files to your own hard drive. I grabbed a few of those backlground images and added them to my active background cycle.
It's exceptionally responsive too. I was surprised at how quickly everything opened up. It was actually FASTER than a lot of my own desktop apps on my workstation.
With a bit of cleanup you could technically use that OS for actual productivity.
“ Kimi will happily clone MacOSX. If you ask it to help you improve another AI model, it will do it with a smile on its virtual face.
Ask Fable to do the same thing? It literally starts to perceive you as a criminal committing a war crime (like no bro, all I want to do is fine tune an open source model).”
build a macos 27 system in my browser here that has all of the default apps and mimics liquid glass nearly perfectly and all of teh elements are actually usable
