Literally the same thing everywhere. You hear this same thing in multi-party systems. You hear the same thing in orchestrated elections in authoritarian regimes.
That's democracy in a nutshell. A system designed to be controlled from the shadows without the majority of people noticing it. The last time they partially lost control was before WW2. And WW2 was the correction of that loss of control.
The british never gave up. From day 1 they were trying to corrupt this country and take it back. Wall street is their creation. The world wars were their creation. The speculation and greed and feudalism are their inventions.
You can get lost in the history of this country, and, everytime you do, you find some british agent up to some absolute fucknuttery.

After the revolutionary war we owed a ton of money and British sent over their lawyers and barristers to bury us under thier legalese and admiralty law. This system and the way corporations function now is not how it’s supposed to be AT ALL. Congress is supposed to create corporations and they are to have a life span no longer than 20 years, not out live man.
Also the 14th amendment is the Crux to the whole system. Instead of freeing blacks and creating citizenship for them, it lumped everyone into a federal corporate entity citizen out if D.C. I.e. UNITED STATES vs UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and your state national status.
