The Scott Pilgrim vs The World movie is unironically one of the worst things to ever happen to society, and the comics it's based off of makes it very clear that Ramona and Scott, and all of Ramona's exes are shit people, but because barely anyone read the comics, no one knows that

I loved that movie because it perfectly described living in Toronto (and, no doubt, many other big cities) in the 2000s.

It's not the source of the problem, but a snapshot of it.
