I guess that's probably true if you count the natives as being "in America."
There was a time when only white men were counted as citizens, which made America 100% white by definition. The natives and the slaves might have said "what about me" if they weren't super busy trying not to starve.
Nope. America was absolutely 85%+ white before hart cellar and mass illegal immigration.
There was a period where America had the highest population in the world, almost all of it White.
