As a non Catholic being excommunicated doesn't mean shit to me. Your faith in God is personal, and God knows what in your heart.
The Vatican went further than expected and said all priests of the SSPX and all Catholics who “adhere formally” to the group were in schism and excommunicated. The Vatican also reversed concessions on sacraments made to the society by the late Pope Francis, meaning confessions and marriages administered by its priests are invalid.
Making something retroactively invalid is cruel. From the people that say not allowing immigration is cruel. Why would anyone want to tithe to that billshit?
I'm starting to think the orthodox church was right back in 1054 when they split and the catholic church was already too far gone. There's some things about both that I don't totally get, but, at the very least it seems like the orthodox have resisted a lot of the faggotry.
they're extremely based. i once visited a Serbian Orthodox church and they pretty much told me i'm not welcome there because I'm not of their same ethnicity. They said I could go through a process to be accepted, basically they have rules you have to follow, you can't just go to their church, you have to go through a process and eventually "graduate" then you can be baptized in the church. Very interesting.
When practiced correctly, Roman Catholic services work exactly the same. You have to go through an apprenticeship so to speak and when you pass you get confirmed, then you can attend in full.
Technically speaking, the Catholic Church became schismatic and split from the Orthodox Church in 1054. This is taught in Orthodox churches as The Great Schism, and the fact that later on the Hussites, Lutherans, Calvinists, and all the other Protestant denominations split from the Catholics is just viewed as schismatics splitting from other schismatics.
Wonderful. Nobody paying attention is surprised by this. Bergoglio was trying to strangle them by not permitting new bishops, trying to wait until the current ones were dead and then declare the order dissolved. This was coming for a couple decades.
Their primary beefs with SSPX are that the progs currently in charge of the Vatican despise Latin mass and have been trying to outlaw it for decades in favor of vulgar languages, and that SSPX still holds the jews accountable for the death of Christ.
i wasn't even going to read the article i posted here but my jew alarm started going off when i read "ultra-conservative rebel group." when jews are calling them that i knew they must be based... and sure enough
Good. The idea that the Catholic Church is somehow good if only for some issues with Vatican II is nonsense. This is the new Catholic Church. It's never coming back. Leave the church and build something better.

They are indeed based.

Will the Vatican move to Paris or Jerusalem this time?
