Apparently, the US was attempting to undermine the MOU by using Omani waters - stats show an increase in the use of Omani waters in recent days - and Iran wasn't having it. It demanded that all ship "co-ordinate" with Iran, and fired on a ship that refused. In response, the US attacked Iran. Then Iran attacked Kuwait and Bahrein as well as another ship.
So now we not only are supposed to control Israel, but intervene to control every country with an open shipping registry?
