Yeah, sadly South Korea is pretty converged. I watched this one action flick about an assassin carrying out missions for this organisation, and the main subplot revolved around her daughter being a dyke, and the mother coming to terms of accepting it. Pretty ridiculous.
Hmmmm yeah saw a japanese horror where plot involves lesbians doing suicide to be together and 1 was haunting everyone cause her partner didnt do suicide with her. And of course, it takes place at a catholic school.
I saw Top Gun: Maverick and Joker 1 in theatres. The biggest issue is how expensive it is, and usually for a worse experience than just waiting and just watching it at home.
Hollywood may have given up but their backers haven't. They're now trying to subvert Asian media, too.
Watched hong kong films and its plenty subverted in last 10 years. Always jeets in them and half the dialogue is mandarin (commie chinese).

I can't recall the last time I was genuinely pumped to watch a film in cinemas.
INCEPTION and TENET for sure. Maybe Top Gun: Maverick and ... yeah, I don't know.

Watching at home will NEVER be on the same level of experiencing the cinema.
Here's some advice: DO NOT attend the 8:00pm show on a Friday/ Saturday. Wait for Monday/ Tuesday screenings.
