Extreme entitlement towards what was given to them coupled with extreme hubris as though they earned it. They got to grow up in the most prosperous time in human history, where a man with nothing more than a high school diploma could get an entry-level factory job and get promoted up to management before he turned 35. Houses were cheap, college education was even cheaper, and it was all done in a still homogenous white society where the media was catered to everything you wanted. We don't have any of that, we're expected to compete with the whole world while the system tries to drag us down, and the boomers are happy to let it happen so long as their stock portfolios and property values continue going up.
And their parents gave them tons of help; financial, physical, educational, you name it. They then turned around and told their own kids to "pull yourself up by your bootstraps".
