I mean we did it to fucking wolves, bears aren't that far off. I mean hell, bears seem like they might be easier since they're not even carnivorous. I'm not an expert obviously but I feel like Carnivorous predators with strong prey drive have to be harder to tame than an omnivore that doesn't even really like to chase it's food.
Russians have been successfully training circus bears for a lot less time than we've unsuccessfully tried to civilize niggers.
