They don’t care, because just as with interprovincial travel restrictions being ruled unconstitutional, by the time that happens the damage is already done.

If this is ruled unconstitutional it will be after the vote.

Canada's Federal Constitution is a hot mess of Ai slop... written long before Ai was a thing! But mindless drones serving the gov't totally was a thing. It essentially says any "rights" citizens have are at the allowance of the Federal Gov't & can be removed at any time.

Written by lawyers, for lawyers, benefitting only the lawyers.

Anyone with a few functioning brain cells should know the obvious fact: once you declare independence? The laws of your former country no longer apply.

If the town of Taber wants to stay in Canada? Just build a big fence around it & set up a (one!) border crossing. A few weeks of 40 minute line ups & car inspections should sort them out. Plus arresting & holding anyone who tries to enter Alberta illegally.
Give them what they want! Good And Hard!
