The manager is a typical boomer that views himself as gen X, wore a graphic shirt that said so. I guessed he identifies as “Christian” because of a Jesus portrait on his desk. But also has been with his job for decades and doesn't give a shit that he directly supports the most woke shit imaginable.

What irked me was the stereotype playing out. The management is boomers doing boomer stuff but there is a huge rainbow flag in the main office and women walking around so the boomers are living it up while overseeing the subversive rot taking root. Yes, that's a common theme. Boomers never experienced the oppression that young men face today so they don't understand and the ones that understan, often don't care.
They also seem to refuse to understand that they got in when the getting was good. It wasn't because they're particularily good, it's because the American economy in the 70s and 80s was essentially the best in human history and they happened to be there.
And then they just stuck around forever. How many jobs have you worked that had some useless Boomer running shit horribly just because they'd been there forever while a half dozen younger, hungrier, workers wasted time "paying their dues"?
Not even with careers but with houses also. So many boomers accomplished nothing and were going to retire with nothing too then all of a sudden they lucked out with real estate thanks to the government destroying the country with immigrants and then the boomers act like they were always mastermind millionaires thanks to their superior competency. Then they have the ignorance to presume all young people can do exactly what they did since they did it without any regard for changing circumstance.
Are wings really slop? Sure you could make the sauce out of garbage, but otherwise... they're chicken. Not mechanically separated chicken mixed with fillers or anything that industrial. They're literal bone-in chicken. Plus seasoning and heat.
The way restaurants make it makes them slop. Its deep fried low quality chicken (with hormones) then soaked in a sauce that's shipped frozen and preserved.
It can be done at home in a much healthier manner but nobody has time for that.
Nutritionally it is obviously not good for you to eat a typical meal of wings (an understatement) yet it is the go-to food for a lot of community functions. "Stuff your face with this crap" is the basic idea of goyslop.
The skin of wings is loaded with fat -> calories. Rip that off (even though it tastes oh so good) and the meal isn't so bad. Unfortunately, you don't have that option at restaurants because they presauce them.
I do love a good Buffalo sauce though. Most restaurants suck at it, but the few who are great at it... it's magnificent. I also make it at home, it does have tons of butter, especially if you need to make it mild enough to appeal to everyone in the household, but it's really just butter and hot sauce plus some optional spices if you like. As long as you don't drench your wings, there are worse meals you can have.
