Mixtape has been such a self own as beyond this it has outed EVERY paid off YouTuber too.
It's a bland game with a really creepy kissing mini game in it that all these reviewers say is '10/10 best game ever!'
So which is it? Are they such whores for money that they'll indirectly take the sheckles or have they so ideologically got their heads up their asses that they'll promote this as game of the year and nothing wrong with underage teen tongue kissing but say there is something wrong with Pragmata?
And in the end, didn't even matter as only topped off at 2500 on steam...

Yeah I saw in my subscriptions some long ass podcast with him interviewing with the devs of Mixtape and it was so insufferable that I just unsubscribed.
I think the last time I even cared about game critics was when TotalBiscuit was alive. Since then a lot have become shills for 'access' when people largely don't care, a data miner can provide more relevant information than them.
Them shilling for this is just confirming their redundancy.

Video game critics clearly really have a lot of influence with modern gamers. It's quite remarkable.
2500 concurrent users for a 3 hour single player story game is huge. They've probably made over $2M just on steam, plus that amount again on PS5, plus they apparently got a game pass deal. Unless they did the thing where they hire 20 people to work on it for 5 years, this is a successful game - hell even if they did that they still have a shot at breaking even.
Gone Home, Life is Strange, Firewatch, What Remains of Edith Finch - These were all successful. There is a consistent market for this type of game.
The money spent on licensed music alone probably eclipses all sales.
Those were pretty fucking good (and life is strange, the original, was made by a French studio and had NOTHING to do with DEI. French love teenage/adult stuff, see The Professional, Macon/Brigitte, etc).
I say give LiS the original a shot. One of my top 5 games ever.
