My son works for one of the big companies and they have a large part of the staff retiring in the next 5 -10 years max. The company builds many things, including turbines and nuclear shit. They will be needing skilled tradesmen real quick, not enough competent people are stepping in so the ones that do can rise pretty quickly.

In this video Hard Hat Economics Claims the trades are in a bubble and will soon burst due to a massive switch from young men swinging from college to computer sciences/ coding then to trades looking for jobs. He claims several of the trades are already oversaturated and near the point of bursting.
The only industry that's growing is healthcare because this country is becoming a retirement home for boomers. Once they die off that will burst as well. They'll probably actually do something when that happens though since women will be affected.
The trades have the same issue as all other industries. The only people getting in hired are nepo babies.
