An energy source that is more powerful than anything else we have, that is cheaper long term than gas or coal, is infinitely more reliable than renewables, doesn't require nearly as much strip mining for solar panel materials, and on top of it all, releases less radiation to the population than flying on a plane.

It also has infinite fuel. Breeder Reactors can turn spent fuel rod material into good-as-new material. Quickly (in comparison to mining it) safely AND generates electricity while doing so.
