Steam and Xbox haven't gone this far as I currently understand
Microslop has its own house of horrors going on. I can see Steam holding out since Gabe is famous for his "piracy is a service problem" quote. He knows full well that we'll just sail the seas again if he turns Steam into the shithole that Playstation and Xbox are becoming.
As I don't even think the online safety bill in the UK will LAST another few years given how EVERYTHING associated with Starmer will be ripped out when he's forced to go.
I won't pretend to know the ins and outs of the UK's politics but this sounds like the leftist rachet to me. Did the "Conservatives" even pretend to oppose this crap? If it's anything like the US the Conservatives' will (eventually) win despite their best efforts then proceed to do absolutely nothing to fix the damage Labour caused before being thrown out again for being useless retards so the cycle can repeat.
EVERY major mainstream party it set to lose upcoming elections with Reform likely to grab most of these council and mayoral seats only because Restore don't have the candidates to field yet.
Starmer is so hated, that the recent stabbing of Jews in London, when Lib dems, Conservative, Reform leaders went there, they were greeted warmly by the locals. Starmer? He was booed and heckled by EVERYONE.
It's 50/50 if a Reform government would remove the online safety act as it's extremely unpopular and ineffective that it seems something easy to remove to score points. If Restore gets in, it'll definitely get removed along with A LOT of other restrictions.
As has always been the case. Remember, Labour may be painted as the more progressive of the two, but the Conservatives were the ones to legalise gay marriage.

If Restore gets enough seats and the prime minister position, then maybe.
If Reform, Labour, etc. get in, then no, they will not do anything meaningful.
Restore might be the last hope for the british

The conservatives (uniparty) were the ones to put it in place and Labour enabled it.
