Fat whores make no sense. Not in that time period.
Whoring wasn't something you did to get rich. It was something you did because you had no other options other than leveraging your looks. So maybe, maybe an extremely beautiful whore could make a lot of money, but a woman like that would have already been with some wealthy man and popped out a child or two just to ensure the lifestyle.
Most whores are basically going to be making barely above what other workers would make in a day because they are reliant on the men getting their pay and then coming to them afterward. That means many of them are not going to eat until after, and some might go days without eating between the times they could get on their backs.
Was the original game right to show most of them with healthy figures with non-fugly faces, no, but it's much more realistic that an above average woman would turn to whoring than fat women in a time period where fat women would already be with men who could provide them enough to eat to be fat.
Whores of that period would be thin and ugly with thick layers of makeups, just like everyone else during that period because of the bad hygiene and health problems, on top of being poor
Europeans being ugly, poor and having bad hygiene back then is based on propaganda.
