You could try using the comedic voice on an apolitical/ leftist article and then send it to an voice coach for review before you use it on the actual article.

Why not just post the rough draft, anonymously, to a bunch of places and read the feedback from groups that share your comedic sensibilities (other than the fact that they won't hold anything back). Do that until you've got something you like, then turn it loose on the plebs, or whomever.
