And it's still the wrong term. The correct term you're looking for would be incursion. Or raid. It was never an invasion. It wasn't intended to be an invasion nor did it resemble an invasion in any way.

You could perhaps even call it a skirmish as most of the Israeli casualties were actually caused by deliberate friendly fire.
