That's a shitty perspective. Do you wish you were never born? Why do you think your son or daughter would wish they were never born if you don't think that way yourself?
You're not a slave. You have a lot of free will today, choices to make.

I think that way myself.
You're not a slave.
And yet I have to walk in the cold (Quebec), wait for a bus that might or might not show up, wait for another bus, then walk 15 mins to teach kids that are delivered to schools by parents with Porsche and Alfa Romeo, to barely make enough to survive. Net I make 3k a month, rent 1700 food 500 bills (internet, transport, electricity, etc) 500. That's $300 spare money per month IF I am lucky.

Maybe you could teach your kids not to make the same shitty choices you made?
I'm in Ontario and I can clear $4k a month, easily, roofing. Zero education, zero debt, and where I work runs year round. Do literally anything other than work for the government.
Yeah guys working trades aren't struggling for work at all. I can pull $500+ per day doing subcontractor stuff or $300-$400 per day just dealing with customers myself
No, I don't love roofing. It is a hard, dirty, dangerous job that can easily destroy your body in a couple years. Half the roofers I know are on hard drugs or perscription and pretty much all of them drink heavily. There's a certain satisfacting in getting the job done but this isn't something anyone intentionally pursues. That's why it pays.
This is exactly your problem. You fell for the "do what you love" scam. Wrong; do what you get paid for. People working because they're "passionate" are easy to take advantage of, which is why game devs are always treated like shit.
I also love teaching kids, that's why I had kids. And, because they're my own, I don't need to throw in the globohomo crap the government requires.
I mean, you do you but don't complain about money or being miserable at work if you got there because it's what you wanted.
It sounds like you dont like your job. How much effort have you put into a career change? A side hustle?
Stop making yourself miserable. You identified the source of your grief so make a radical change in your life and cut out the job and commute that makes you so miserable.
I lost my career job for not wearing a mask and next thing i knew i was mowing lawns and shit. LOL but i wasn't wearing a mask. You adapt. You roll with the punches.
Tbf I am leaving t eaching to go into tutoring. But even in tutoring, people ask for invoice + business names + registration + whats my sales taxes registration blah blah blah. I have to lie/bullshit them. Matter of time until I run into some snitch/gov agent and get fucked.
Same for you by the way; how long until you get reported by one of the guy who pays you. "Your honor, I paid him $500 for mowing my lawn."
A lot of them want receipts for tax deductions of their own too.
Anyway I lost my first job because I refused to do a covid test. That was a while ago.

Yeah I'm quitting this job asap.
