I'm sure that was a factor but back when i was watching it i was more interested in the action because i couldn't sympathize with any of the unlikeable characters and the action wasn't the main focus of the show so that was it for me. I'm sure someone can enjoy the underbelly of a show more than the surface but for me if the surface isn't appealing, i'm not interested in the soil.
