Goony elements are aposematism the same as danger-hairs, but in the opposite direction. If you see a group of dangerhairs in relation to a video game, you can assume that it is being made by committee and HR overlords. If you see a bunch of goony elements in gaming, you can assume it's being made as something the developers wanted to make, themselves, because sure as fuck Karen from HR ain't onboard with that.
In both cases, it isn't always true, just like how in nature some brightly colored animals aren't dangerous at all, like a Macaw parrot, but it is signalling theory in action. If in the first five seconds of your game trailer you have Highguard's broccoli yee-yee-ass woke haircut, you know the game's development narrative, and likewise, if in the first five seconds it's the mermaid boss battle from Shantae, you know the developers care about the game's "fun" value, even if it may not be to your personal taste.
This is a very simple concept with a ton of predictive power. Low IQ people can't connect simple dots, so any degree of pattern recognition seems like disconnected logic. If the end results keep backing you up, then you just got lucky. Again.

If you had predictive power you'd realize that excessive fanservice is usually a sign of a low quality product
I find that gooning material outside of porn games, which i don't play, tends to be an indication of a sub par product
