All coaches and players for Cuba have received visas, according to a person with knowledge of the situation. The person spoke on the condition of anonymity due to the sensitivity of the matter.
Juan Reinaldo Perez Pardo, president of the Cuban Baseball and Softball Federation, and Carlos del Pino Munoz, the organization’s secretary general, are among the eight members of the traveling party whose visas were denied,Juan Reinaldo Perez Pardo, president of the Cuban Baseball and Softball Federation, and Carlos del Pino Munoz, the organization’s secretary general, are among the eight members of the traveling party whose visas were denied,
The actual Cuban team and their support staff were all approved to play in the tournament. It's only the stuffed shirt figureheads who were denied.
Posting this mostly because the US is hosting the World Cup in the summer and I think similar issues will be occurring if they haven't already, but I don't know what I should feel about this. Like I know that the people who run the governing body of baseball in Cuba are probably commies and whatnot, but the people in those positions are going to want to come and watch what they organized, so who knows.

Who gives a shit?

Wait how are their players getting to the US, didn't Cuba run extremely low on oil that they have limited to to jet fuel?
Same as how Russia’s economy has been on the brink of collapse since the war started.
They would have always found more for stuff like this.
This embargo against Cuba is getting a bit tiresome
