I will disagree with a lot of people here that this is a sign of the times toward IVF eugenics, for a few reasons.
First, IVF is an high risk, expensive procedure and a viable embryo is far from guaranteed, even with the multiple shots allowed with IVF. For that reason it's a backup option for most people.
Second, IVF families are a radical break from the traditional family structure and mostly represent transient, highly ideological individuals with few ties to any orthodoxy. It's no accident that both Alysa and Eileen Gu come from single parents (a single dad and a single mom, respectively), both Chinese, both immigrants to the US. The kids are unlikely to continue an IVF dynasty due to completely different formative experiences and the inherent unpredictability of their life direction.
Third, China faces a severe fertility crisis with a replacement rate below Japan and more comparable to Korea, and more neurotic obsession over perfect children is going to hurt, not help that.
All that being said: eugenics in the traditional sense of picking generally desirable spouses and weeding undesirable ones out of the gene pool is a good thing, and Alysa is adorable. Her dad did a good job picking the donor.

To be pedantic, this isn't technically true. "IVF" describes the technique, not who the sources of genetic material. A married couple doing IVF, screening out the embryos who have the markers for grandpa's heart condition, and implanting it into the wife is still IVF. It would also still be a standard nuclear family.
You're right, but the fact that you can screen and select embryos is a significant departure from traditional family formation. If IVF ever became mainstream (which is prevented due to the success rate, but I digress) then the effects would be similar to abortion, except at a larger scale, and there probably would be knock-on social consequences that we couldn't predict.
I agree, I want nothing but the worst for these sluts. Nothing bit vile evil whores getting fucked by every chad they can find and getting overpaid for doing it.

Pretty much. I have an aunt who had problems conceiving and used IVF. Her and her husband have 4 children now.
