On the one hand its not an entirelu bad idea. When twitter implimented location for the accounts, everyone seeing how many were just third worlders pretending to be white people to sew discord. So if implimented sites like OnlyFans having to say a third or more of all accounts are just Sandeep or Ranjesh in India will have people not pay a cent since the illusion is broken.
But I know thats not how it would be implimented. It wouldnt be used so you could see that Dead Internet Theory is growing more true every year with bot accounts engaging for metrics. It will only be used to find dissidents and harrass them.
As long as one can easily jump platforms, it won't. Making that an illegal way out might just make pubs, libraries, and back yards great again, though. All of social media is basically the public square.
