I didn't know it was possible to clusterfuck a "release" of anything this hard.
An administration can say "We're releasing it. It will be available with redactions over a twenty-four month period as we review." They can say "No, we're not releasing them, end of discussion forever." They can even deny their existence, only release the files that hurt the opposition, or just fabricate them outright...
...but not this administration. They've checked every checkbox...It's a conspiracy theory. It's a myth. Stop talking about it. They'll never be released. They're going to be released. They're being released. They were released. Surprise! More are being released! Just kidding they're not.
How can this administration expect ANYONE on the political spectrum, from the reddest communists to saber-rattling patriots to trust them with any document release (much less anything at all) after this?
And if they didn't actually say half those things...then they sure as shit had better work on their messaging because it's garbage.

Here's another question: how do we know that anything in these files is even real?
Authenticity is of less importance than just how badly handled the messaging was.
