Fall 2024 KIA2 thread about the OG podcast breakup
1.5 years ago, a few weeks prior to Trump Nov '24 re-election, the Beauty & the Beta podcast that had been running for almost 9 years with co-hosts Matt Christiansen & Rebecca Hargraves (Blonde), came to a messy end. The details were discussed here on KIA2 in a thread in the link above.
TL;DR - Christiansen was getting squeezed by a million dollar mortgage he bought for his secret jewess wife after the Lauren Chen Tenet Media Russian glowie scandal cutoff his 144k/yr payouts. So, after getting annoyed at his co-host Blonde's absenteeism & general malaise at discussing MAGA boomer slop after a decade in the same format, gave her an ultimatum, take it or leave it paycut of around 10--20%.
Blonde, married to an apparently independently wealthy older vet & not needing the meager payout that the show provided, told him to shove it. She decided to quit the show, making a independent boilerplate social media post on X announcing that her & Matt had grown apart & that she would be immediately leaving the show.
Christiansen, being a closet control freak, had his own crashout in response mostly centered on the fact that Blonde had beat him to the punch in making a vanilla announcement about her departure, unvetted by him. Matt claimed that portions of her vagueposting were blatantly untrue and demanded that she do one last final podcast episode the next day "because the audience deserved it".
Blonde refused. Christiansen would go on to host a solo 3-hour episode of their pod the next day, essentially crying about Blonde's betrayal, posting cropped bad faith screenshots of their private DMs and holding hours-long call-in segments encouraging their old audience to shit all over his old co-host for her lack of fealty.
Blonde, hurt by Christiansen's lack of professional courtesy, would later leak details about Matt's secret Jew wife, his rabbi wedding photos, his million dollar McMansion that he couldn't afford, his jealous Jew wife that wouldn't let the two co-hosts & families meet in person, his wife's paranoia about Blonde BFing her newborn during segment breaks with her webcam off, the fact that the show barely made any money (grossing less than 60k between them most years), etc.
Fast forward a few weeks
-
Christiansen wins the old audience, the old show IP and his YT channel in the metaphorical divorce. He essentially keeps doing their old show in a very similar format twice weekly solo with a rotating cast of civnat minor e-celebs (including a Black guy named JoshyBoy that is universally hated but a recurring character) & longtime audience members. Views stagnate, but the old audience mostly stays with him. He callously also deletes the entire 9-year backlog history of the old Matt & Blonde Show archives off his channel, lost forever. Some audience members ask him questions about Blonde's allegations of his secret Jew wife (particularly because Christiansen was in the midst of a new public adopting Christianity arc with bible study groups with audience members). Matt essentially took a non-denial position, telling listeners it was none of their business.

Rebecca bounced back very quickly despite being left with metaphorically nothing after the breakup (and a key issue with the split being that she was disinterest & lazy). Within a month, she started up a new wignat, JQ-focused podcast called The Backlash in the home of one of her friends in Idaho, Dave Reilly. Reilly was a former intern for E. Michael Jones & is involved in local Idaho Republican state politics. They also got former Nick Fuentes associate Vincent James, of Jan 6th fame & The Red Elephants to co-host. However, James wouldn't last long, quitting within the first few months of the pod, claiming he was stepping away for family reasons & essentially disappearing off the web for the next year. Their fourth chair was Cameron MacGregor, a globetrotting International Man of Mystery, who may or may not be Colonel Douglas MacGregor's child, who would Zoom in from a new locale every week. And mostly was completely ignorant of pop & shitposting culture.
Rebecca & her cohosts did twice weekly shows for the last year or so. On Mondays they tended to interview an alt right or Christian figure. On Weds, they had a panel show discussing the news of the day from a wignat/JQ perspective. They did get a few alt right-type sponsors (Idaho Tallow, Antelope Hill Publishing, Atlas Bullion), but their views remained mostly flat & never surpassed Matt's old show.
More recent developments
- Christiansen's show still plods along with the usual MAGA slop while completely ignoring the JQ. He did recently choose a permanent second chair, ?Matt Polumbo? after an endless year of auditions. He however has never been able to replace Blonde as the hot, edgy, racist co-host to bring in the eyeballs.
Matt a few month back created a video plea that he couldn't afford to keep the show going without more listener support. His comment section was mostly full of simps declaring that it was time to give some shekels to the "Most Honest Man" on YT.

- Meanwhile, Blonde's pod today announced that both Rebecca & Cameron MacGregor were both leaving the show, effectively leaving only Dave Reilly & the end of the collaboration.
No specific reasons were given, but speculation is that the pod broke up over Dave Reilly's fanatical devotion to Nick Fuentes (who laughably has publicly denounced Reilly), particularly with Nick's 2026 arc guarding for Epstein & generally moderating his takes towards White Nationalism.
Reilly also is a fairly insufferable Catholic who tries to discuss theological doctrine on the show at length. Rebecca is a Catholic herself, but apparently recently was a guest on Adam Green's show where she openly discussed having doubts & possibly was considering leaving the faith. There was also tension between Rebecca & Dave given that Reilly tended to choose Catholicism over White Nationalism when push came to shove.
There was also speculation that the pod simply never was financially successful. Prior to the latest breakup announcement (where the trio actually had a show scheduled for 7 pm EST tonight that never happened), Rebecca & Dave were pushing a local Idaho fan meetup on Feb 27th for a Black Tie dinner weekend with Tier Experiences priced between 1-2.5k USD.
TL; DR 2.0
- 18 months post Beauty & the Beta blowup, Matt Christiansen is to be declared the winner by default as the last man standing.
He continues a stale, unsuccessful, boomer slop pod in the same 2016 format while avoiding the JQ, but squeezing out enough shekels from his smoothbrains to keep affording the mortgage payments on his million dollar Montana Jewess castle.
Blonde OTOH, was freed to JQ sperg on her own for the next year+, but ultimately couldn't make the finances or the social dynamics work between wignat co-hosts, ultimately calling it & crying uncle a second time in as many years. Ultimately, Nick Fuentes, the Groypers along with TradCaths vs wignats just led to more division & balkanization on the dissident right.

Obviously some editorialization on my part re: Christiansen, as I'm still Team Blonde in 2026. TBH, I haven't watched a solo Matt show since the split in 2024. I do occasionally lurk his comments though.
I turned against Matt because I thought he handled the split horribly. From the original callousness about her seeking medical care for her foot injury, to his "non ultimatum" ultimatum declaring he was cutting her pay unilaterally from 50/50 to 60/40 after all their years of their partnership. To him sperging out about her disloyalty in her very milquetoast departure announcement tweet. To the final episode in poor taste where he platformed their former audience to shit on her for 3 hours straight in absentia. And possibly most egregiously, the cropped/edited DMs that he posted publicly during the cope stream that Blonde claims were altered to make Matt look better by leaving out key replies.
I'm not sure how much Matt's wife played in the breakup of the OG show. Her Jewish heritage certainly caused friction on its own as Blonde became more JQ-critical in her politics. And Matt seemingly didn't want to allow that editorial commentary on the show, presumably to protect his wife. The fact that he purposely hid his wife's ethnicity from the audience showed that it was a sore point.
As a former listener to the show, I think the 2024 allegations from Blonde after the acrimony over the end of the show, that Rebecca implied that Matt's wife was jealous & controlling of their professional partnership, came as quite a shock. There was a mention over concern over indecency & BFing her infants off camera. And other anecdotes about Matt's wife killing the possibility of the two families meeting in person for a group camping trip over jealousy and wanting to avoid any IRL interactions (apparently Matt & Blonde only ever met IRL twice over the decade-long run of the show).
Some of the shock over the friction between Matt's wife & Blonde was because Blonde really played up the friendly relationship she had with "Ping2" on air over the years of the show. Which apparently was completely fake & performative.
Damn it, the Khazzar Milkers got another one.
Yeah, from what I remember Blonde would talk about Matt’s wife like they got along really well. That’s too bad, Matt definitely killed the Golden Goose with Blonde. Whatever problems they were having she still added way more value to the show just by reading the superchats and giving the occasional racist quip. Some of his co-hosts are alright in small doses but most of the time it’s just like having another Matt on the stream.
It sounds like Blonde wanted to be friends off-air and Matt just wasn’t into it. The Tenent thing really fucked him over too, everyone in the audience told him that was a bad idea, myself included.
TBF to Matt, it did seem that their partnership was doomed to come to an end soon anyhow, simply due to the growing chasm in their political differences. And Matt's desire for such tight editorial control, considering it "his show" at the end despite their decade of work together.
It was really his behavior with his crashout at the end of their partnershuo & some of Rebecca's revelations afterwards that made me turn against him. If he had just said nothing after Blonde's farewell announcement, I probably would've stopped watching (I mostly had anyway by that point), but wouldn't have thought much about him otherwise.
I don't really blame Christiansen for accepting the sus Lauren Chen Russian money deal either. Lauren Chen was mostly thought of on the up&up at that point. And it was 12k/mth, 144k/yr for two weekly videos & one 1-hour livestream that Matt was doing anyways. Blonde later revealed after the breakup that most years the show was grossing less than 60k between them IIRC. Meaning Matt was trying to raise a family on poverty earnings around 30k.
Matt's hubris was moving out of his dead brother Wade's old house to buy a million dollar Montana McMansion that he couldn't afford, assuming the 144k Russkie cheques would forever roll in.
Yeah, this part caught me completely off guard. By all public appearances it seemed those two had hit it off really well and got along. The revelation that Ping2 brought the knives out completely blindsided me.
