"Famous" is tricky. I know that Vedal and Anny in the vtuber sphere actually fell into that, with Anny recusing herself from their work and arrangements due to catching feelings while he was simply obsessed with his work and content, and given Vedal is the third-most-subscribed Twitch streamer of all time (more than even some mainstream media appearers like the dog-zapper guy) he is somewhat famous.

Anime have plenty of dumb-as-bricks harem protags who friendzone the entire group, but that isn't really "famous" except in the conglomerate of the trope itself.
