I think partially it's asymmetrical bias. They were raised to not see color. They were raised in a high functioning, high trust society. Therefore they think everyone shares and or wants the same values, morals etc..
Like it boils down to whites thinking "wow I wouldn't wish death on someone so that means no one really wants to wish death on me".

I don't let the woke communists dictate my language, even in reaction because that still gives them control over me. I grew up not capitalising either, which is probably an artefact of the 90s race-blindness nonsense. But as it is the way I grew up, unless it's traditional, I'm unlikely to change.
