I believe so. By 2016, most people had moved to 8chan. All the “meme magic” that got trump elected (the effective memes that went viral) started on 8chan, not 4chan. The Feds took 8chan down, and it exists now only as a honeypot as far as I can tell.
Have you noticed that none of the crazy leftists who show up at protests these days get catchy nicknames? Back in the day, we got “moldy locks” and “r2-dinndo” and “aids skrillex” and on and on and on. The right wing on 8chan was an endless font of creativity. At all seems to be dead now.
The internet was such an entertaining place before the left destroyed it.
