This is like when they point out Superman is illegal alien like thats a fucking point. Superman is god and if he were real I’d be terrified and aligned with lex Luthor or so afraid of the other shit I would rather the god alien be on earth. Superman's not an illegal alien. When he arrived on Earth, he was not a natural person because he's not human. Legally, he shouldn't have had any more rights and responsibilities than a tree.
Law would have had to change to recognize non-human sentience as a "person" at which point, he likely would have been grandfathered in.
Or I suppose they could have formed Superman Co. around him to make him a "legal person."
He could basically just slaughter the entire population of the planet whenever he wanted as long as nobody has Kryptonite (which is exceedingly rare and almost nobody even knows about it). The fact that he doesn't is where his heroism comes in, contrast Zod.
