They don't come to the US because they fear the cartels. Just as 'refugees' in Europe don't go to Germany because they're fleeing war.
That is correct, but cutting off their funding won't make them leave. Only fear will make them leave.
A majority will leave voluntarily. The rest can be deported by force.
That is cope. They aren't going to leave. What are they returning to? Would you go back to a sheetmetal shack?
