Jester should have just been bumped up to twice what everything else costs/gives.
Sure, you can still call someone a Jester, but it's going to cost you.
They were mostly awarded from butthurt assholes who can't even handle the mildest criticism like, "seemed made well enough, but not really my thing so unless you're really into specific thing X I wouldn't recommend."

Nah, that one there was actually farming for, and it was changing behavior. People would make whole threads baiting for Jesters. It was actually a leading cause for retardation like "Does this game have LGBTQIAA2S+ representation? I won't play any game that doesn't."
I farmed Jesters by negatively reviewing woke trash for not being woke enough. Now I'll just do it for another good reason: It's fun pissing off leftist faggots.
Buy and return, yes. Done it probably 30 times. They get my review but they don't get to keep my money.
Edit: Here's my Steam refund request history via Gmail since 2019. Every single one successfully refunded. Steam does not seem to gatekeep refunds as long as they're below two hours played within two weeks of purchase.

Doesn't necessarily have to be cash-related. I've had a friend beg me to give his profile awards so he could use the transferred points to get something in the point shop.
Is your friend one of those people who have to constantly change their profile or how is it possible that he doesn't have enough points to get what he wants? Honestly I don't get it.
It was an economy of thirdworlders and scroungers being deliberate shitbags on their platform for the equivalent of a few cents an hour. The world is better off without it and I'm happy to see anyone invested in it losing their time and money.
They could have just made Jester not give points, LOL.
Pretty much the only one that was creating any sort of negative incentive.

Fair enough, but I'd still stand by my original assessment.
If people want to pay to tag bait posts with jester because they're thin-skinned bitches, let them.

Did you say "you've" done it 1-2 times or did you typo "I've" done it 1-2 times? I thought you were calling me a liar.
How the fuck did anyone make any money off of Steam Points?

He doesn't get the chance to buy a lot of games.
Then it is understandable.
First thing I thought of too. I don’t have any use for those things. If I could have turned them into a five cent credit I’d probably do it.

Steam gifts, Counter-Strike skins and now this. Hilarious.
