If Walz sends in the guard, it will be to help the rioters. This is an opportunity for Trump to use whatever power Eisenhower used to send in the 101st.
Eisenhower used the power of noticing that the posse commitus act has no teeth and then just doing whatever he wanted. Clinton did the same when he sent Delta Force to assist with the Waco massacre. Also, Bush Sr. sent in the Marines during the '92 LA race riots and had no pushback.
What I've heard recently was that Dwight ordered the NG to return to their barracks to stand down & play cards until it's through.
Then somehow deputized actual service units to do the dirty work.
The Governor of Arkansas had ordered the ANG to stop the forced integration. Eisenhower activated them to put them under his command instead of Arkansas's command and ordered the 101st to make sure they complied. The problem is the 101st isn't guard, and thus he didn't have the legal authority to deploy them on American soil. But that didn't stop him since it was in service to the goal of harming White Americans.
