Yeah, it's been aiming at more control for the command center than the actual soldier. The new style at least gives the soldier knowledge and abilities to also see things.
I wonder if they had actually succeeded with that project and made it top secret, but there's no way after Land Warrior, Future Warrior 2000, Future Warrior 2030, Future Warrior 2050 that it was ever anything but money laundering.
