Yup. At least I stay consistent.
If this is handled well, maybe things get better for Venezuelans in the short term. But I still think it wasn't our business, will be worse in the long run, and absolutely condemn it.
Maduro was, to put it mildly, not a good leader. But that's a separate issue than supporting his removal by foreign powers. It's also unclear if whoever comes next will be better or worse, since everyone queued up seems to be massively globalist traitors.
As is often the case when leftists are correct, they're correct for largely retarded reasons, but I can still give them a point when they earn it.
The attack on Venezuela and removal of Maduro was a shit move, and not America First. All these people on the right doing a 180 and cheering for this - and calling anyone who condemns it a commie - are pissing me off.
No. Venezuela was never a threat, and no one thought it was until they were told to fairly recently. It wasn't our freaking business, and it's not in the interest of the American people.
I knew you would. But there's a shocking number of MAGA influencers who support this, and who even say "steal their oil". Coming from the same people who, the day before, said that blacks steal because they don't have the impulse control to not steal what isn't theirs.
Even if everything goes perfectly, it will be worse, because people will point to this "great success" to justify ever greater foolishness and adventurism.
We've been through this when they were calling everyone "pro-Saddam" for opposing a previous neocon regime change. It feels like history is repeating itself, just this time as farce.
That's not even on the radar of the powers that be.
While I was relieved things went smoothly, even though I didn't want to go in at all...I'm also blackpilled enough at this point that my immediate initial thought was...ah, so we're pivoting to Iran. And, sadly, that prediction is still looking likely. I still hope I'm wrong, but it looks like America will likely be trying to take down Iran within the next months.
And the same retarded cheerleaders will cheer that on too.
That will be the seven countries...and Cuba, Columbia, and Panama seem to have been added to the list too. America is just going to try taking everything, it seems...while still condemning Russia and supporting the proxy war there.
It really is so infuriating and disappointed. They got to Trump, even more than they already had. This is a totally different Trump than Trump 1.0. I'd hoped it would be a better Trump, and there were hopeful signs but...nope, we get this nonsense and evil.
The saving grace seems to be that this guy is just a publicity hound trying to go for quick, flashy and easy 'wins'. There are rumors that he negotiated with Venezuela for them to give up Maduro so that he could say that he OBLITERATED them.
Even taking down Venezuela would have been much more difficult than this, and taking down Iran way more so than this.
These morons will cheer for literally anything.
The most terrifying thing is that the "opposition party" isn't even opposing it. The two parties are always in agreement when it's something stupid and evil.
I got heat for saying that Trump's first term wasn't great. But I gave him credit for at least starting no new wars. And the first six months were pretty great. Actually doing stuff and being a bulldozer through the bureaucracy unlike the do nothing first term. Then came the triple punch of Epstein-Iran-Venezuela. Now he seems like the most psychotic warmonger around - but I'm hoping that it's just a pose.
Maduro either surrendered or was betrayed and handed over. I put that at above eighty percent, personally.
It wasn't great by any means. But it was pretty good, grading on a bell curve. Trump 1 was perhaps the best US president in decades, not that the bar is high. But yeah, he still wasn't great.
It's a mix. It's partly pose...but he's also clearly actually doing the warmongering, too.
