I'm seeing all the round ups of 2025 happening right now so thought I'd ask what people make of it as it's been chaotic to say the least.
In my opinion, the left have lost the culture war, have greatly lost the economic dominance they once had as seen by media companies collapsing and their last hold out of the establishment is diminishing greatly. The only problem is they KNOW they are losing so are going scorched earth with the remaining tools they have like the judiciary in the US or the indoctrinated crazies they have like the troons.
But that ACTUALLY seems to be the side show. The growing fight seems to be between Gen Z and some millennials vs the boomers as a huge generation divide seems to have reach it's peak with even 'Gen Z coups' happening in multiple countries, the most dramatic of which is Nepal. From what I can gather, Gen Z seems to have had enough of Boomers sitting on their hands, saying everything will work out and they should just do what they did when they were that age and Gen Z would rather burn the system down they feel has no interest in them.
The rise in internet censorship by western governments seem to be the last acts of old institutions realising the younger generation has grown to hate them and are hoping to deny them the few communities they have to indoctrinate them again, not realising that ship has sailed. 2026 is going to be interesting as we may see another shift thanks this divide being more prominent.
I think you're right that people have realized they can't just sit on their hands and go about business as usual. Not just Gen Z but anyone with eyes to see the obvious. Unfortunately there's no agreement on the main cause of the problems and thus no agreement on the solutions. People on the left think the problem is fascism or capitalism, people on the right think the problem is immigrants or leftists or Jews, libertarians think the problem is big government and people like me think the problem is modern technology with help from many of the above.
Nobody wants to budge on their opinions and even if the left is culturally defeated as you say (despite still having all the institutions) the near future is going to be more fighting between factions. Elections are all fake but the global powers can keep each side playing the game by swinging the pendulum between parties and letting each side implement a little piece of their agenda. Then when things continue to get worse each side will blame the other for screwing with their plans. Divide and conquer as usual. I doubt there will be civil war or revolution in the US soon given how easily we've seen both sides can be placated and go back to sleep or be manipulated to flip their views just to "own the libs" or "oppose fascism/defend democracy". Other countries like Nepal have a harder to time manipulating their people because they don't control social media or international mainstream media.
It's 100% mass immigration. You can fix almost anything else, including fascism, communism, corporatism, really any ideological issue. But demographics are for keeps.
So how did the mass migration start?
the 1965 betrayal
And who caused that?
