They don't understand that the only difference between the two is the degree of their faith. The terrorist practices the same religion as the guy who tackled him, except he was just more devout, more fundamentalist.
Not necessarily. Shooting random people isn't an undisputed tenet of Islam. But what you say is correct. We wouldn't need the Muslim stopping the other Muslims who were terrorists if none of them were in the country to begin with. Would you take a venom that included its own antivenom that, perhaps, in 1 out of 100 cases, neutralized itself?
It isn't though. Jews are the ones who get special protection in their holy book, like Christians. It's why there are still Christians in the Middle East 1400 years after their lands were occupied by Muslims.
