It’ll be a lot less dramatic as that. There will be a 30-50 year gap where no record can be found. They will find time capsules from the 80s and 90s, and suddenly nothing until 2040 or 2050
Stories and records show a dark time where people would shamble around staring at glowing rectangles that were connected to each other. Lots of information was shared but nothing as learned. People fought over stupid while governments and massive conglomerates consumed said data. Nothing else can be gathered as none of the data was recoverable or salvaged. The stories showed when all data was consumed, nothing but AI was left to learn from itself. Forever a snake entitling it’s own tail.
