There was a similar movie about the oxycontin epidemic- but they took a miner and made her a lesbian female so netflix audiences would sympathize with the working class.

There was a decent show called Coal (2011) with actual West Virginial coal miners mining coal.
It's impossible to find now probably because it showed poor white people working hard in a dangerous job just to get by which isn't convenient for their narrative of 'white privilege'. Also one-word title doesn't help.
