Twitter opinion says that the past will be erased for the Woke views of Netflix. Batman will be black and gay. Harry Potter will be sidelined by Hemione. Lord of the Rings will be gone all together.
Drinker calls it the beginning of the end
Comcast is the least bad option, right?
What a fucked up, twisted timeline we've ended up in when that's a true statement.
I think so. They definitely have some Disney people working for them now, and the rainbow flag at their offices. However, they have worked to keep ips as accurate as possible.
I don't know, but it's the one I'm hoping for. If they can get DC and Harry Potter production rights under the same ownership as the Universal Studios parks, there'd be a sword hanging over Disney's head. Especially with DC and Marvel in competing parks.
Shareholders might actually make them clean house. One can dream.
Netflix is the worst case. Consolidation of streaming, another blow to theaters, more streaming-tier "content" replacing films (not to say things are great today), and the obvious: Netflix turning everything they touch to shit.
Fuck, I'd rather Nvidia buy them on a whim than it goes to Netflix.
I saw an update a few minutes agothat Paramount is still trying to get it with a much bigger hostile takeover type bid. I'm sure no one likes Ellison, but I mean versus Netflix I'll take it. Netflix is the worst by far.
I'll have to go see what IP they have I was ever interested in and go get it while I can. I probably already have it. Netflix will wash that stuff off the face of the earth and we will have nigger "Harry Potter and the Magic Inverting Penis" or something instead.
Yeah, they're trying to force a buy out. To be honest this might become an intense bidding war. Paramount does not have this money.
WB also owns cartoon Network, Hanna Barbera, and DC. So there is a lot at stake.
